Jamey Caudill DQ - Joey Coulter Named Winner

Congrats to the entire Coulter team for the win at Southern National Raceway Park - Kenly, NC in the Thanksgiving Classic.

Joey Coulter drove a smart race in a very tough field of LMSC racers and put himself in position to pick up the win after a controversial call in Victory Lane.

Ken the track live reporter stated,
"During the victory lane celebration, Track owner Del Richards came across the pit wall, tapped Phil Campbell and Jamey Caudill on the shoulders, and informs Caudill that he has been given a 1 lap penalty for rough driving from contact with Deac McCaskill 20 plus laps earlier. This call wasn't made in the tower, as I've asked lead official Troy and everyone else in the tower, and they say they know nothing of it."

That's about the dumbest call I've ever heard of. They let this guy pull into victory lane and then penalize him for something that happened over 20 laps earlier?

If you want to penalize someone for rough driving, you do it when the incident happens. If the track owner is too chickensh*t to make the call when it happens you don't wait until victory lane to finally make up your mind. If ever there is a reason for a justifiable fight, this would be it.
