Sorry for your loss James. Your dad was a real racer and although we did not always see eye to eye, deep down, we did like each other!

He will always be remembered by me as one of the characters of racing with a tough attitude but was really a good guy once you got to understand him. I will miss him, too.

The Racer! As I will always remember him.

James Glover Sr. was a true Racer. He was the John Wayne of the Florida Short Tracks. He was Rough Tuff and wouldn't take Shi... off from anybody. I remember back in the day (Damn if this doen't make me feel old, but yes your right we are getting old) I was trying to convince James to join in the membership of FASTRUCK. He said; "He was NOT going to join that DAMN BOY'S CLUB"!!!! He tell me all the reasons that; "It wasn't more than a bunch of DAMN pannie waste boys in a club. With same DAMN rules thats wouldn't let a REAL RACER build his own racecar. And what kind of racing is THAT"!! YEP that's the James I remember. The fact is that I had to buy he membership for him the join FASTRUCK. He had the money . BUT!!! It was the princpal of IT!!! He became a real Father figure to me. I came from the IMSA road racing world. And new nothing of the REAL World of Short Track Racing. You couldn't just join it you had to live it. And he did. I will alway's remember him for his to the point attitude.

God you have your hands full on getting him to "join the Club". But you going LOVE him once you get to know him. Givem HELL James Glover SR. You will be missed BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN. I would like to remember him at the next FASTRUCK race (1-10-09). We will HONOR the man James Glover Sr.
      The RACER!

      God's speed!!!! JG
