I know you HATE this but I have to thank you for so many things. Thank you for the message boards. Some might disagree with me but because of Karnac and RRUSA, I have met some of the most wonderful people ! People who, over the years, have become close friends and some even more like family.
Because of the message boards we are aware of all that goes on in racing... the winners, the losers, the ones who suffer, the ones who pass on, the latest rules, the weather, who has babies, birthdays, the stars who come up the ladder from karts to NASCAR...and the list goes on and on. You have supported and promoted more racing events than anyone i know!!!
Then we have all the internet radio shows !!! we have listened to everyone from a bomber to a NASCAR star! we have heard track owners fight and we have heard them try to work together...we have laughed and cried and even been scared! thank you to all the people who help you with what you do! Jane, Rick, Bill, CeCe, Rob, Skip, Ken, and so many i cant think right now. Thank you for all the stories you write! Thank you for all of the opportunities you have given to me. Thank you even for the times you screamed at me. I learned alot from you...
Sometimes we do things that seem so trivial and easy and we dont realize how those little things effect the lives of others. YOU are the person who helped me become "SUPERFAN WICKS" !!!! You are one of the most misunderstood people in racing...
well Jack... if you ever get discouraged and think about quitting... please think again... RACING needs you ! We need you ! I need you and I am happy to call you friend.
One thing i wont forget... i have never quit and been fired as many times as i have with you!!!!! But we are bonded by the people who enjoy this sport, we both work so hard to try and preserve the race tracks, we both love and hate what we do.... lol yep ... sometimes it gets frustrating. But we eat some crow, we move on...

I'd like to second Carol Wicks on on the positive statements.

Jack Smith is an extremely important part of racing as we know it in our area. The man is all about covering tracks, racers and every aspect of the sport of racing that we love.

I for one would not have the level of appreciation (and knowledge) without Jacks efforts. I have been a KARNACIAN for a long long time and appreciate Jack for making this media a great asset.

Some people "Don't Know Jack"... (in many ways)... but everyone should know THIS JACK (Jack Smith that is).

I am honored to call Jack Smith a friend.

Carol nailed it! I spend a lot more time on the computer than I ever waste in front of a TV, and the site where I am the most is THIS one. Its been a great source of entertainment and information over the years. I can list at least two dozen friends that I've made here, not just annonymous posters, but folks who come over and call, and it started here.

Because of this site, I've had the chance to co-host the radio show, be involved in the reunion, have silly kart nights, and make more race track visits than I can count. Long live KARNMAC and RRUSA!

I have to agree with the sentiments of the others. This site is the way I learned about Florida racing, the positive as well as the negative. When I moved down here there wasn't any apparent way to get information about racing, tracks, drivers or anything else related to racing. This site provided it. I, also, have had the honor of meeting many other Karnacians because of this site. Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving.

Jack and I have been together for 12 years now. Jack knows how I feel about him and what we have done in those 12 years. We have had our ups and downs and ins and outs but we have gone on even when we both lost our faith for awhile and was completely burned out. But we never quit.

Got To Agree

Jack, there is no doubt we agree 100% percent with everything everyone has been saying. And more so. You hear all kinds of things on here. Some good, some bad. Even times when several people have to jump on a subject they dont even know the truth on, or what they are talking about. But what ever the case is. This board has HELPED so many people.
So don't ever go anywhere. You have done a excellent JOB! We are proud to know such a man like you, it is a Honor.
And we our glad we have been friends for along time, and hope we always will be.

So on that note: Thanks for all you have done for eveyone, us, FMCS & the RACING COMMUNITY...

I agree with everyone that Jack has done some wonderful things for racing in Florida, and he has done so despite vicious attacks and opposition from "the dark side" of the racing community. Thanks Jack! Your work is greatly appreciated!

And while I am thanking Jack, let me thank him for opening the door for the dirt racing community to enjoy the benefits of this site. Although the dirt folks have been slow to come here, some are beginning to take note and join in, especially thanks to shows like "Dirt World." There is currently a great divide between the dirt racing world and the asphalt racers, but Jack is working hard to narrow that gap, and I have been attempting to help. Hopefully at some point Karnac and Real Racin' USA are just as much about dirt as they are about asphalt.

Keep up the good work, Jack!

I still don't know alot about computors but you guys helped me learn a few things since you started this KARNAC.com thing.

Don't get to see ya very often but it's still nice to drop your names once in awhile when talking with and about friends and racing.

I think it was 1997 when we first met at CCMP. I kept asking about a T shirt with a pocket and Rick said "Here's a hat now shut up!"
By the way Jack, I saved that poor hat. Like you said, it's just now broke in.

Thank you guys for what you are doing for short track racing.
