  • 2 Days and Counting until 43rd Annual Governor's Cup 200

Only two more days and it will be here, the 43rd Annual Governor's Cup 200.
Don't forget, there is open practice on Friday night from 6 to 9 pm. Grandstands are FREE to the public to watch but concession stands will be closed so bring drinks and food to watch.

On Saturday, the day will be full of excitement with practice, qualifying and an on-track autograph session for both Super Lates and Sportsman from 6:30 to 7:15 pm. Racing will start at 7:30 pm with the Super Lates first and Sportsman to follow.

General admission Saturday is $20.00, students and seniors (62 and older) $15.00, children 11 and under FREE. Pit gate will be $25.00 non FASCAR, $20.00 FASCAR.

You won't want to miss the biggest event of the year as the 43rd running of the Governor's Cup 200 takes to the track and the third leg of the Triple Crown is run. Remember, this will have pit stops and strategy is very important to the racers. Plus a 75 lap Southern Sportsman Shootout with 3 segments to the race. Going to be a GREAT NIGHT at New Smyrna Speedway as 3 Champions are crowned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1967 winner Dumont Smith expects to be in attendance... I've been trying to get with Jim Fenton to see if he can make it... Would be nice to have 30 or more cars this year... I may be announcing the whole show since Wayne Anderson has offered his son's car to Mark Keeler to drive (He figures they're about the same size... actually, I think Randy is a bit taller)... That will be awesome... we could have Vince Keeler and Mark Keeler in the same race!!!
