Nice logo Trippy!
I'll bet that the Earnhardt name disappears from that team within 3 years.

i'm not so sure the "Name" disappears. that's the only thing of real value that Teresa is bringing to the deal.
it will be interesting to see if which side is supposed to be "majority owner" in this. from the article it appears that Chip is bringing 1 1/2 car sponsorships while Teresa only has a sponsor for Truex.
and to think, all of this happened to DEI because Teresa was bound and determined not to lose majority control ......Racers Supporting Racers - for all your Vero Beach area automotive repair needs:

I do not know how to provide the link
just click with your mouse up in the address bar of your browser and then copy the whole "http" address. then paste it into body of your post here.
like so:
http://www.jayski.com/cupnews.htm#news1a
"Sources say that DEI’s deal with Bass Pro Shops requires the team to field a minimum of three teams and that if it fails to do so, the sponsor could walk. And in this brutal economy, losing yet another sponsor is the last thing DEI could afford, figuratively or literally."
this explains why they're bringing in Ganassi, with him they've got sponsorship for 2 and a half teams. without him they've only got 1 team sponsored.
it also doesn't bode well for Teresa maintaining control of the company.Racers Supporting Racers - for all your Vero Beach area automotive repair needs:

When I first read about this possibility back while it was still a rumor, an analogy came to mind that struck me very funny that I saw in a article in a classic car magazine I was reading some time ago.
The article was about the Studebaker – Packard merger that proved to be a total disaster back in the mid-fifties. Both manufacturers were suffering financially for different reasons. The hope was that one’s strength would benefit the other’s shortcomings and visa-versa. Then, supposedly once their balance sheets stabilized, they would be up to the level of the big three (Ford, GM & Chrysler). However, at the time, this “saving the farm” merger had its skeptics.
One such critic of the merger was a business newspaper columnist who used the analogy; (and I’ll have to paraphrase because I’m not sure this is verbatim) “It would be like one drunk leaning on another to cross a busy street”.
