I can tell you I really want to thanks each of you for doing what you do. The Media is not only the means to spread the word but, also the WATCH DOG of the Community. As a light makes it earier the see in the dark. Your show has truely the Racing Community in mind. Thanks for helping us (the Track Owners and Promoter) see through the darkest of our future. You may not have all the answer and I don't think your saying that you do. But together the Team you have along with people like Carol Wicks. The knowledge collectively is as stong as it gets. Great show last night and I can't wait to review it to write down the imput you gave us. Together we be better than alone. They say "It's lonely at the TOP"!!!! And I believe it is when you make it that way. Some work very hard to stand alone in the dark.

The truth about MEDIA !!!!! hmmmmmmmmm

I think we spend too much time on people who are negative to this sport...all the attention we give them takes us away from doing what we need to do to survive... we need to be happy about what we do and we need to have enthusiasm. paying attention to nasty people is a total waste of time and energy !!!
Bobby... you are like a jack rabbit at times ... you make my head spin with all of your "crazy" ideas.... but i sincerely mean this Bobby... your enthusiasm and your love of not only the sport, but of all the people involved, makes you so special. i see the worried look on your face on the weeks when there arent many people in the stands... well i believe God will provide but He also keeps us focused and humble to Him... Together we will continue to get people in those seats and cars on the track... Linda and I have always said that nothing can be accomplished without TEAM WORK!!!
I think we are getting back to that point. sometimes it takes people time to get used to each other and sometimes the team gets scattered but ours is getting strong again. Unity works.. Bickering and gossip do not work! I think you, Gary, and Linda have pretty much gotten that under control... i hope all the "promoters" at our track realize what an enormous task they face and that they take it seriously and work together towards a common goal... NO EGOS ALLOWED !!!
There are people in racing circles who claim to promote the sport. i hope the communities can see thru them... everything they do and say has a negative impact on racing. Everything they say is cruel, untrue, and detrimental to everything good owners, promoters, drivers, and fans try to do. My best advice is to completely and totally IGNORE them... NEVER answer them...NEVER let them hurt you... no one can hurt you unless you let them! NEVER let them slow you down...
as for Jack, CeCe and Rob...they talked bad about Jack.. well Jack does more to promote racing than any other human being i know!!! thats another whole subject! HE IS NEEDED ! They said CeCe doesnt know anything about racing. CeCe is fairly new to this sport. but she goes every single week and she meets drivers, track owners, and fans. Because of her PROFESSIONALISM in radio she knows how to get others to talk. she has learned ALOT this year and she continues to learn. she is ALWAYS positive and she tries EVERYTHING... including flagging and soon even racing a car! SHE IS NEEDED !!! Now Rob... hahaha well Rob has been very kind and helpful to those who have a hard time expressing themselves... kids, elderly past racers, but when it comes to what he thinks is pure ignorance... hes a no holds barred guy... he says it like it is...do i always agree with his tactics? NO... but i respect his honesty and i respect the fact that he is there every week supporting racing...HE IS NEEDED !
its people like these who DONATE and DEVOTE time to racing that helps keep it healthy even in tough times. Keep up the good work. anyone who says we don't need media is sadly mistaken. what we DON'T need is so called "media" who never ever have a good thing to say... who constantly cause problems. it discourages people and it stops alot of people from feeling free to help. if you can't build up your business by being positive and staying out of peoples personal business, then PLEASE LEAVE RACING! do something else...you are never going to discourage some of us!!!! You are wasting your time!
Sometimes the message board gets crazy and we bicker and argue... but the truth is that just about ALL of us are the true die hard people who are passionate about the sport and thats why we get frustrated. we have been here with KARNAC (RRUSA) for many many years and i doubt we will ever leave... if we leave when times get tough then we arent really needed. only the strong survive.
well i guess you all get my point. if we want this sport to survive in these tough times, we need to unite and put out some effort to help our tracks and promote for them. even if you just bring one new person to the track with you its a help... if you see someone with any kind of racing apparel on ask them if they've ever been to your track. if they say no then talk about it and invite them to come and check it out... i usually wind up talking about racing to someone at the checkout counter...lol im the one you hate who holds up the line talking about racing...;-) however..... i have seen some of those people at CCMP!!!!!
