WE had a new club of old race cars last night. They were pretty neat. They reminded me of my early days. The old fords are my favorites. I had some time to snap some stills and thought I'd share. Bob....

NVRA? Does not look like any of the cars from DAARA.

Hey George, no they aren't DAARA cars. They call themselves Cars Of Yeaterday. The thing I really enjoyed was they really raced. Their feature was pretty good. They had 2 heats and they were pretty competitive too. The DAARA cars seem to just drive around the track. Not much racing. My Fav is that little 34 Ford Coupe. Now that was one sweet little ride. Didn't run very good but looked good. I wish I knew how to do it I'd put their feature up here for everone to enjoy. Bob...

They also have cars from the movie grease lighting. They have the car that richard pryor drove and bo bridges drove in the movie the richard pryor car is retired

I would like to thank all the Teams for coming the FANS loved the racing. Can't wait to schedule dates for 2009. I really would love to Join the group myself. We gave aload of interested racers asking about them. See you at next MONDAY's meeting.

i agree Bob... for us old timers it was a trip in the time tunnel. a trip down memory lane! awesome cars, great race!
the pic im enclosing is of Eric Hall who won the race by less than a car length !!!! roflllllll
i talked to one of the racers and told him about the reunion in Feb. but he works at night so he didnt seem too interested. however, i really want to get the word out to these guys because i think they will be very excited about being able to take part in the show... so if anyone has a website PLEASE lead me to it. We have alot to do before February...! rofllllllll

Thanks for the information and link. That is a 6 cylinder group with some flatheads. Great looking cars. My ORPHAN could not go play with them if it was healty. They don't like a sprint car with a body
