For what its worth, if you arent already getting a press pass or other credential, i highly recommend spending the $30 and getting the pit pass. The things that happen at the tech house/scale are worth the price of admission alone. You get to see some real lobbying and the way some people (who dont need to) just have to push everything - and get away with nothing. That is the tightest tech I have ever seen and still moves along very orderly for the number of cars they have.

Not to mention the added bonus of rubbing elbows with the legends in this business. Last year we stayed at the Blue Angel Best Western right at i-10 and lone pine(? the road the speedway is on) real nice.

I was there the year before last and it was the best racing that I have ever seen. I doubt that I will be able to make it this year but I am still gonna try.

Ed... I was there that same year. I agree... some of the best racing I've ever seen. Hoping to somehow weasel out a trip up there again this year, since the World Finals appears to have fallen through for this year.

I would have LOVED to witness that punk-ass Steven Wallace getting busted putting sockets in his pockets in the Tech line last year.

Frasson/Ed, last year was no exception on the racing, the way the track eats tires causes tons of passing. Guys moving up and guys falling off, it is a real dynamic race. Having a good pit crew is just as important as a fast car in this one. I am hopeful that the economy doesnt squeeze the quality or quantity too bad this year.

We have our tickets, pit passes, hotel and RV parking. We are debating whether to cancel the hotel and bring an RV or just use the spot for our truck. Last year, parking was a pain, once you got there (in the morning) you coudlnt leave for lunch or dinner or you would lose your spot and have to go to the fairgrounds. Whoever is going this year, we should all get together - it is a blast.
