  • To All The Doomsayers !!!!!

thhhhhhhhhhhhhh... we had one of the best nights of racing in the state of Florida! ASA, FASTRUCKS, and our own drivers are awesome!!!! the stands were packed!!! it was a night to remember. Especially when Steven Nasse decided to take flying lessons and was airborne coming down the front stretch ... first there was a huge scream from the crowd and then silence. its hard to believe the kid didnt have a scratch! his car sure did!!!
these drivers know how to please a crowd!!!
I also think we have the best damn staff in Florida. The ASA racers were treated like celebrities. they were presented like nascar stars right after their autograph session... and when the race was over the winners were given plenty of time to celebrate and have great pics taken, Trophies and lots of showers!
all the people who didnt come due to the extra $5... you missed one HELLOVA a night!!! YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Thank you ASA, FASTRUCKS, CCMP racers and especially Bobby Diehl and the staff at the track. A special thank you to CeCe Brooks for all she did this week and tonight promoting the events. and anyone else who worked hard to bring the crowds! AWESOME!!!
It was so good seeing the drivers i havent seen for so long... Chad Pierce, Rob Partelo, Blake, Dustin, Jeremy, and so many others.
You guys are lucky because im gonna pass out if i dont go to sleep...
Thank you God for keeping our drivers safe!

Carol, go ahead and stand up high on your soap box and call people names.....fact is, a family of 4 cannot drop $100 vs $40 to go to a race because some (special) series is there.

I only paid $5 extra for the hickory ASA..not $5 MORE than the already jacked up price for a (special) night.

How many tickets did you have to buy?

I think this was a downright mean thread again people who don't have pockets full of money...............

It was a fun night! Good crowd also, the biggest that I've seen in the nights I've attended CCMP this year.

What was amazing to me was the NOISE the crowd was making! It was so nice to hear CHEERING both before the race, and after. I haven't heard that kind of noise in awhile.... Justin Larson was clearly the crowd favorite towards the end, but I think if either Dustin Dunn or Brian Blum could have gotten a little bit closer to the top three at the end, folks would have been making some noise for them too.

after all these years, you should know i wasnt being mean. i was so excited. all the negative posts this week had me scared to death we would not have anyone in the stands.times have been tough... last night turned out to be spectacular!.... i am not in any way arguing that the cost was high. but so is the cost of having a series like ASA... fred was wrong. it is about $20,000... that means you have to have 1,000 people in the stands just to pay them. i know how hard people struggle. im a widow... you think life is easy for me? it isnt. but i put aside whatever i can for racing. i dont buy clothes or jewelry, i dont travel, i dont do anything except enjoy my great grandchildren every week at the track.
if a person cant afford to do something then i guess they just cant. thats life. there are ALOT of things i cant afford...
well anyways Benny... if i offended you or anyone else i apologize... my excitement took over... however... i dont think all the negative posts help keep our tracks open. Thank God we had good people out there promoting this event. it was awesome. have a happy day...

Proper promotion is getting the purse money from a sponsor....not relying on the gates.

Anyone can send advertisements out..that doesn't make them a promoter.

You were exited..that's kool, i musta read it wrong.

My response or posts on this matter were not geared to be negative.just shed some realistic light.

That event would have been $100+++ for my wife, myself and 2 oldest kids because they'd be charged as adults. My 3 yr old would be whatever price?? I know some specials even 3 yr olds are FULL price.

So, Today for $30 in gas we all went hiking in the mountains with the cool fall air and colors changing.

But would still like to be able to see special event without taking out a loan......and it's not just there, it's everywhere.

              Benny

i would do anything to walk thru the woods with my husband... in fact we spent many many Sundays doing just that... now i spend every single saturday of my life watching a bunch of cars going in circles... roflllll think about it...when i read your post i was thinking how awesome it would be to walk thru the woods, smelling the fresh air and listening to the leaves crunching under my feet... dont get me wrong... i love racing but when i was married i never saw one single race in 8 years... i missed it a little but what i had was so much more fulfilling.
i know racing is expensive. everything is. to take 2 kids to the movies is a $50 bill for 1.5 hrs. i remember when we went to the kids matinee all afternoon on saturday for a dime! seriously... lol
there are some things in life you cannot put a price on... a loving family by your side is one of them. you are rich... ;-)
well now see what ya did... its already almost MONDAY! take care benny...

there are some people you can dress up but you still cant bring them anywhere... hahaha we cant dress him up and we WON'T bring him anywhere!!! just kiddin Jas...
how are ya roger? when will you come to CCMP? we do have some great racing you know. too bad you missed this weekend. WOW...it was great. well i guess i will see you at the reunion huh? hope so.

I didn't read Carol post a bash against anybody or any track. I do agree that it's hard to take a family of 4 to the race track anymore. I didn't complain at all about paying 15 dollors to get in the pits Friday night at OSW either. If you can pack the stands and don't have to lower your price then thats great but some tracks are just trying to help the racer/fan out.

                        i wont do that...

i never bash tracks... i dont always agree with some of the things they do, but i also dont know why they do what they do because ... i dont own a race track... if someone came to our business and trashed us, i wouldnt appreciate it. HOWEVER... when someone gives constructive educated criticism, sometimes it is wise to at least listen. but in the end it is the track owner who will profit or lose. EVERYTHING is expensive nowadays...especially entertainment.
i think every person who owns a business would be stark raving mad to operate at a loss. they have to make a profit to survive. but i think sometimes the costs are not distributed properly...
the fact is... Americans have been groomed to spend money they dont have. if you cant afford it...dont do it! i have about $7,000 credit card debt so i really have no right to preach but every month i have to pay the darn things.costs me about $400 a month because i pay double. if you pay the minimum it is impossible to ever pay off the debt.. i could have saved the $400 a month and paid cash and saved interest. but..... i have to have it NOW!!! the moral of this short story is i have no one to blame but me. so if any of you are spending too much money... blame yourself! that sounds cold but ......the choice is yours and you should not blame anyone else.... ok...im ready for the tomatoes...
