  • IFR October Driver of the Month

Here is a nomimee for you: New Smyrna Strictly Stock driver Richard Goodrich.

Richard is leading a close point battle for the season championship. On 9-27, he destroyed his car in the turn 2 concrete at NSS. So the next week, he jumped into a borrowed car...and won! Its pretty cool because it was the first career win for the car owner who had been racing for many years.

    Finally !!!!

thank you Rex... the team at Inside Florida Racing worked so hard to get this program going with Pandora Jewelers and no one seems to show any interest. at the end of the year the team will pick a driver of the year and that person will get a $4,000.00 ring !!! so listen up out there. if you know of a driver who you think is deserving of "driver of the month"...PLEASE let them know. you can post on here or contact Jack, CeCe or Bonehead Rob Elting!

I'll go ahead and second Rex's nominee of Goodrich... he jumped into that borrowed car again this past week and had it upfront for a solid third place finish.

He now holds a slim 7 point lead over Steve Pierce. Pierce is also a good story... built a car for his grandson Cody Whitley... Had the points lead and turned the car over to the kid... after a couple weeks, Pierce jumped back behind the wheel and is still in the hunt for not only the championship, but also rookie of the year in the Strictly Stocks.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better group of guys than those that run in our Strictly Stock class!

        Ihear a Thirding

I hear a thirding for Richard... Not only is he having a good season, but he is also the first one to throw a hand and help out another driver around the pits or anywhere else for that matter....
