  • Sportsman meeting in Tampa!!!

There was about 50 plus people coming together to adjust the rules package for the Sportsman divisions. The Tracks and Series that couldn't make it said they would look at end results. There were three tracks and this weekend Techman for the Southern Sportsman Series "Ted Head"in attentance. So all you Sportsman go to Orlando and help support your division. It all started with Ted Head putting the meeting together. Auburndale, Citrus, and CCMP were there. The rule package will be out shortly for the 2009 Season. Then one of the things to address next is the 2009 Schedule. Looking forward to that meeting.
Thanks to all the Teams that drove to Tampa for the meeting. It means alot for you to have the input for your division.

I wish I could have been there. I didnt get off work until 6:30 and its a 2 hour drive. I look forward to seeing some new cars at Orlando tonight. If the weather holds out, it should be a great night for racing.

        Working together!!!

        Rick.
Ted Head is the one who set up the time and place. He said he talked to all six tracks left on asphalt in Florida (less Five Flags) and the Southern Sportsman Series (along with calling as many of the Sportsman Teams as he could). They all said that they would look at using the package that came out. We will see. I know that the tracks are wanting to develop a system of “Big Car Count Events”. This is with the understanding that in these times. Survival is the GOAL for all of us. This is just the start. Tires, schedules, and payouts are next on the list to do. Then it is on to the other divisions. I hope that you may make some of the meeting. You have always have straight forward questions and wanting answers for the right reasons. By the way the food at Golden Corral was awesome.
Thanks again to Ted Head all that could make it to the meeting.
