Just posted on the Orlando Sentinel website:
A lot of drivers were mad at Carl Edwards after last week's race in which Edwards bump-drafted Greg Biffle a little too hard and started an 11-car wreck that included his Roush Fenway teammates.
Kevin Harvick even called him a pansy.
Well, apparently the hatchet has not been buried. Harvick and Edwards got into a physical fight that apparently involved shoving and a headlock, but no punches were thrown. According to reports, Harvick was walking away when Edwards reached for his shoulder to turn him around. Harvick then shoved him into the hood of the No. 33 Nationwide car. This happened earlier today in the Nationwide garages.
We asked Edwards about this a few minutes ago and he said it was a private matter between him and Harvick. He would not say what they talked about. He would not say if the disagreement had been resolved.
A photographer was at the scene, but the rumor is photos of the event are being suppressed because the photographer was a track photographer.
One of my editors asked a great question: Where's Humpy Wheeler when you need him?
Humpy wouldn't have suppressed these photos, he would've embraced them. Everybody loves a good fight, right?
