I am definately excited to have the oportunity to set a new track record for the ASA Latemodel Series at CCMP. I love it at CCMP the crowd is always awsome and the excitment is high! I hope all the Florida drivers are able to make there mark at the season finally at a home track like CCMP.

Good luck to all who attend.

I read this post last week but I didn't want to reply until I talked to Ron and Russ face to face. I don't want some of these local teams to have to come through tech and have to do changes to there cars. ASA does this with the GAS cars when we run in Georgia. If you are not an ASA member, or if you do not have the ASA wiring harness, or you run a box with a chip, than you weigh 2800lbs and 58% left. ASA cars can only practice on Friday and with any ASA practice you must run ASA tires. If you have any questions call the tech director Russ Chapman.

J.R., Get that baby dialed in. I can't wait to get back home to CCMP. It will be good to see everybody again. About that track record. If you saw the artical about Dustin in Late Model Digest this month than you know an ASA pole is one of his goals for this year.

      So good luck with that.

Carol, Nobody was more suprized than me. I used to come on here to let you know what was up in Dustin's life and all that but you see how some of the people on this board are and you can understand why I don't post much about him any more. He has some very exciting stuff going on. I will see you this weekend.

I do want to add two more very important things to my above post.

You MUST have an RSS system.

You MUST have a driver head/neck system.

andrew... we have been friends a long time. you can email me anytime you want. in fact please do. dustin is a great kid and i would love to know how he is doing. i used to be able to follow the drivers by going to all the tracks but finances dont allow me that luxury anymore. so i get to occasionally see some of you at CCMP ...(i love CCMP) ;-) i have missed you guys and i hope this will be a good race for you... please email anytime.

as for the message boards. say what you want about your son. you have as much right as anyone else. and whether they speak good or bad...they speak... people will remember the name DUSTIN DUNN and forget what they read. hahaha ;-)
have a safe trip... the ASA haulers will all be parked together in a place i can get to easily so i am really happy... i think you will be too. easy access to everything.
            much love

Hey Mr. south, Ive never had a 6300 chip there, thinkin around 5.45 gear? And the pole should be fast with the hoosiers. We all need them 5 bonus points for qualifying, so Im sure every bodys goin' for it! Its A BIG race for all of us in the top five for sure, rookie points, and championship.I know jimmy langs on A mission after the big storm shortened race sat.!and colt might meet his match plow'in to the front,so you fl. boys get ready, show'em how to get it done. Rick,

That 5.45 should be good for you guy's. lol If you plan on hitting the chip before the start finish line. E-mail me at andrew@sabatellocompanies.com if you need set up help. Odell already called me. No matter what happens at the last race, we had a great year racing with you guys and the Odell for Rookie of the Year. You guys are only 2 points ahead of Odell and 34 ahead of us. We lost way more that 34 points at Concord so I know that we have a chance to make them back up. Lang is only 16 points ahead of James and all of us still have are in striking distance of the overall championship. So it ain't over until that checkered flag drops. It will be a great race.

To bad the rain came. I think we had a shot at that one. That was pretty cool. I told my driver to move down lower on the track and then he left Lang and reeled you guys in. Then you tell your driver to move up and he finds more speed. We over heated the tires running you down. We needed that yellow but we didn't need rain. That was some good racing.
