well, there you go guys. Everyone was complaining about payout and that looks like a pretty good payout from front to back. Hopefully that will bring out the cars.

I don't think i can run a track and i'll openly admit it.

your proposal John is definately different with a very broad range of ways to go home with a good payout from a number of finishing positions.

I think it will attract a good carcount.

All drivers that make the main will know at least minimum payout......go for it.

As far as the weights, carb, and so on, i don't have a clue how different all those cars that look exactly the same are.

I like it!! I read about a payoff system like that recently in Circle Track. Hopefully, your version will work out great.

If only you could get past statements like this.....you'd take another step in your quest to become a successful owner/promoter.

On your first post.....looks like fun!

Gotta give credit where it's due. The payout looks strong, the format is VERY fan-friendly, and is something drastically different... which is what we've all been asking for.

Hopefully, the rules package will allow a bunch of cars to be competitive with each other, and produce a great show for the fans.

Good Luck John... and I mean that sincerely!

John... It looks like a very creative and positive thing for a series... By setting a rules package for a couple of different cars so that they can run together is "car-count inspiring". Not to mention a payout system that will encourage cars and with them those car's fans...

One thing you might want to look at is scheduling so that the cars that you are trying to get in the track(i.e. from other tracks), are not trying to run a "big" race elsewhere...
                    Good Scheduling is the key.

Again, congrats on trying to make things happen.... Have a great day...

Don't forget to try and do some marketing (and marketing does not have to be expensive) for this type of event that will increase your fan count... In other words, please don't jack the fan entry way into the sky....

                    Have a great day....

The master says sell the track to someone else. That's what I'd do.

                        Sounds Like A Plan

Looks like a place I can run my LLM/Sportsman. Put on a 4 bbl carb and tires and go for it....Tires?? What tire will be allowed?? A long haul for us but looks like it would be worth it....

The concept of this new type of series is great! The fans will have the opportunity to view ‘LIVE’ and exciting racing. As a driver, I would love to see the fans in the stands, and the people having a blast!

While race cars as well as Fan counts maybe down, not only in Florida but all over this nation, it maybe due to:
                            • Perhaps the fans have no idea why, the race car –teams aren’t showing up, and loose interest in attending the events
                            • Same theory may include promoters attempting to balance the deficits on either side of the race track; the ‘front-side’ (Grandstands) & the ‘Back-side’ (Pits).

Consider how ‘your’ expenses may add up, and remember first one must go to the track. .
                            • Round-trip fuel for tow vehicle (approximately $245.00)
                            • Fuel for generator (approximately $30.00)
                            • Pit passes for 1-driver, 3 crew-members ( $100.00)
                            • Fuel for race car $8.00 a gallon, tank holds 22 gallons, plus 5 or so additional for practice, approximately 30 gallons for the event (approximately$240.00)
                            • Tires are aproxitmatly $600.00 per set, one must consider having ‘two-sets’ unless your willing to go home after a flat (approximately $1200.00)
                            • Race vehicles require oil (approximately $140.00 per event)

Now you’re ready to race! But you or your crew become hot, hungry, or thirsty, you could support the track concession and spend from $20.00 or more to satisfy your team.

                            Let’s go racing!
                            • You qualify the car for the race; you’re in the top 6 great!
                            • Now you’re eligible for the dash. ‘IF’ you win, you’ll receive $300.00
                            • ‘IF’ you win your heat race, another $100.00 is earned
                            • You have an outstanding night, start 20th, get to the lead inside of 10 laps and lead the rest of the race. You’ll earn $500.00 for leading at lap 10 20 30 40 and 50
                            • ‘IF’ you win add on another $600.00 for 1st place

Add up ‘your’ expenses and compare it to the purse structure as offered for the eight race series-
For example: Potential Income: = $2000.00 at the end of one event
                            $1000.00 in bonus
                            $600.00 for 1st
$100.00 for the heat race win
                            $300.00 for the dash win

For example: Potential Expenses: = $1975.00 for one performance
                            $245 fuel for truck
                            $30 fuel for generator
                            $100 pit passes
                            $240.00 race fuel
                            $1200 for tires
                            $140 for oil
                            $20 for food and drink

Hey ‘You’ may have earned some Money! Wow.

What ‘IF’ you didn’t have a good day and only earned $400.00 start money?
‘You’ now have a ‘LOSS of $1575.00 not including what ever damage you may have obtained during any of the events leading up to and including the Feature Race.

This leaves us with food for thought: Are the pay-outs being offered in-adequate to cover the expenses of racing the car? What’s your opinion?
