A great letter from the "leader" of the TBARA gang... I've known Don since I was in high school and he first started at Golden Gate in his red and white bobtail sprint/mod #77... My brother even made him a model of that car... wonder if he still has it...
Again, just my opinion... but the TBARA under his leadership has become the best show in Florida bar none... Not just the car counts, but the way the program is conducted... no boring time trials... these cars are expensive but they RACE and the line-ups are set so that the "top" drivers actually have to prove they are the best week in and week out plus the drivers with a little less money and/or experience get a chance to prove themselves... Just look at this past weekend wth two new winners in Ben Fritz and Larry J. Brazil, Jr. Plus if you don't follow the rules, you get dq'd... period!
I have heard from some reliable sources that there are some factions within TBARA who want to make some changes... Now, change is not necessarily a bad thing BUT if it ain't broke, then it really don't need fixing!!! Let's hope everyone will realize this and this group can continue to flourish and not go the way of the Dwarf Cars and Mini-Cups.
Don, his wife and daughters and all the folks involved in TBARA make it a pleasure to work with them... And as Don said in his letter, where would they be without Lee and Jeff Barfield, two of the nicest people you will ever meet...
