BOSCO & SQUEAK KENNEDY'S GRAND AM ROLEX & V8 GT-1 CORVETTE BUILD
Well, I guess we have "dun gone-n-lost our minds," but we are gonna build a C6 Vette for Grand Am Rolex GT and V8 GT-1.
The original plan was to build a V8 GT-1 only Vette, but we then put our two heads together and came up with half-a-brain, and decided as long as we are gonna build a tube frame Vette, we might as well make it Grand Am legal. So here goes!
The car will be a:
* Square tube chassis coilover car with HOWE A frames and SWEET spindles, Grand National 5x5 Hubs etc.
* Schwanke Racing Engines Grand Am Spec LS6
* EMCO transmission
* Mittler Bros fabricated 9 inch Ford rear end
* 18x11.5 CCW Wheels
The body is in the shop as well as the steel for chassis, the suspension is in the mail.
Not exactly High Tech, but, we think very efficient STOCK CAR road race technology that will prove to be cost effective, reliable and quick.
While we can afford to build the car, actually racing it is another matter. That probably depends on the November Presidential election and whether or not we are living in a SOCIALIST-NANNY STATE and if there are any FUNDED drivers left in the country.
