Claude Lewis passes

I would like to report the sad news that Claude Lewis, Racing Reporter for Bronson Motor Speedway passed away Friday Night 19 Sep 2008. Claude recently moved here from the Port Charlotte area where he worked at CCMP for several years. He quickly became a friend to all of us at Bronson Motor Speedway and he will be greatly missed. We would like to send our condolences to his family and racing friends (and he had many).

I am very sorry to hear that. I have posted many of his stories over the years. My prayers are with his family. He will be missed.

not only has racing lost a great friend and promoter but the world has lost one of its most gentle people. i never in all the years ive known Claude ever seen him angry, hateful, or nasty. He never talked bad about people. its such a shame to lose people like Claude because they make the world a tolerable place to be. my heartfelt condolences to his loved ones. Claude, I hope one day to meet you in a better place. So if you can, keep us in line. lol I will miss your warm hugs and i will miss your kind smile and the way you looked over for me when you came to visit.
