good news....a new track

Sorry it is not in Florida, but Circle City Raceway holds its first events this weekend. They are in Indianapolis, and have built a 1/4 dirt on the site of the old 1 mile track at the Indy fairgrounds.

Sprints on the Indiana 1/4 miles are red hot, and a new venue is nothing but good news. Too bad we lost the big track.

It's good news anytime a new place opens or a long dormant place reemerges.Indiana,Ohio and Pennsylvania are dirt sprint territory.While I've never been to any of the Indiana tracks alot of the Indiana guys would regularly come into Ohio to race.There was a track in Indiana called Bunker Hill that had been closed for quite awhile I think and was up for sale a few years back for a song.Fifty grand asking price although from pictures I had seen it looked like only the track itself was left.I had read just before Covid rocked the world someone had bought it with plans to reopen it.Maybe another future venue in the Hoosier State
