Not sure if all of you guys have Facebook. On March 11th mr Jim higginbotham passed away. Jim was my friend for the last 14 years and he will be missed.

Jim and I were buddies for many years, and we actually raced against each other on one occasion. We were filming the pilot for "No Pits Racing" at New Smyrna; I was in my mini stock and Jim drove his modified, and we were both soft-peddling it to stay above their "break out" lap time.

Toward the end, this crazy pilot got pretty serious. It was a little contrived because the producers whittled the field down one by one. Jim and I were two of the last cars out there, and everyone ended up getting DQ'd! Jim always contended that he won that, and the producer, (the same guy who did "Pinks") owed him the $5000 prize money that never got paid to anyone.

Good times with a cool dude that really loved our country, our sport, and especially his dear wife Virginia.

I was there not sure if it was the same night but I remember the little bald guy from pinks getting mad lol he definitely was a punk! Also it was good formally meeting you Saturday at the reunion
