Amazingly, NASCAR is going to run the Xfinity & Cup cars on the road course at Daytona this weekend.
With non restricted motors.
I have been a supporter of this idea for a long time and am kind of amazed that it is actually happening, but I am very much looking forward to it.
IMO, the Xfinity race on the road course at Indy was far better than the Cup race on the Big Rectangle, and ALL (boring) "colosseums of speed" could benefit from at least one road course per year.
It's not that I am all about road courses, they just overcome the strung out racing created by tracks that are too damn big.
Xfinity Saturday at 3pm, Cup Sunday at 3.
Ironically, I am not going to be there due to (heavy sigh...) The Virus.
Am hoping a Karnacian will be attending and provide additional detail.
