I thought it may have been the Auburndale rule about throwing helmets and steering wheels at your competitors after an incident. "Any object thrown in anger at another car must be hurled overhand. Any driver who throws underhand has to restart in the rear."
Kidding aside, good move by NASCAR, I love cone starts, but I still hate their woke corporate attitude and will ignore them until we get apologies and a different approach.
NASCAR is once again jumping aboard to be fashionable
Which really makes me wonder a couple of things. Will they vote to "defund" the cone at a later time? Will the cone be required to take a knee during the National Anthem? Will the cone (and it's inevitable stand by replacements) try to establish their own autonomous zone inside the Speedway grounds? So many details left up in the air by that press release.
I know damn well you are old enough to remember the Coneheads after they were born on Saturday Night Live.Im betting most of the current NASCAR roster would be clueless. So I imagine if you changed the motto on that cone to Conehead lives matter I'm thinking ol number 43 would be both offended and clueless once again.
Apparently the NFL is adopting a new "national song" ---sorry can't bring myself to call it an anthem--- to be played before the National Anthem before all games this season. It was referred to on the news as "The Black National Anthem".So when it inevitably makes its way to NASCAR to appease Bubba and all the fan and sponsor money NASCAR can only ever dream of getting my question is it wrong of me to kneel?
