Where to start. First I have found the iracing or eracing or whatever letter racing they might name it very interesting and becoming more and more entertaining. Not only have I viewed the Fox and NBC Sports Cup style races but I have also viewed World of Outlaws, both Sprints and Late Models. Adding to the list I have seen some really good racing from virtual tracks such as Lakeland USA, New Smyrna, Thompson, Oxford Plains, and Irwindale. Very good shows., which at times I thought I was watching the real deal. My issue is very simple. The short tracks I have mentioned (with exception of Oxford) had some terrific announcers calling the action in a way that built excitement. Great job by all those guys. Then you move over to Fox and their Cream of the Crop announcing team. Following Mike Joy's career from his starting spot at Riverside, and considering him one of the best I am very disappointed that he believes he should just be a talker and comedian. (Quite frankly I can't remember the last time I laughed at one of his jokes.) Toss in Jeff, Clint and McReynolds and you have a very ho-hum and boring announcing team. Why doesn't Fox give one of the little guys from the other series a chance to spice up these shows ? So much for now, rant is over and I'll watch some WOO tonight......see ya at the races !!! Great food at my concession and the price has been right, lol ......
