I was just thinking today after one of my cousins told me gas was $1.43 a gallon in Central Ohio(which is actually 1.40 gallon cheaper than it was during Hurricane Dorian in September)and cars can actually still be driven,does that mean the cost of race fuel has dropped by at least that much too?

I kind of doubt that. Race gas is really a separate market from street gas. I’ve heard from the manufacturers that race fuel is not all that expensive to make. The high cost is mainly due to the limited market, and the distribution costs.

Purely wishful thinking on my part 50x.But in a free market economy it's also supply and demand.And I'm a kinda thinkin the supply hasn't changed much on the downward side but the demand slid right off the ol chart.What's the life expectancy of a big batch of race fuel that's been tanked up for 2 or 3 months anyway.Personally I've never stored any for months.

Same line of thought re: tires.

You don't suppose they will be selling the tires (for full price) that are getting harder by the day, do you?

I've actually been hearing on the news this week that Florida Power and light announced they were going to give their customers a rebate because their expenses are down(I don't know if that stands to reason or not) and several car insurance companies are saying they are going to offer 10-15 percent rebates since the number of car accident claims has dropped sharply.The economy is built on supply and demand.Right nowadays there is a glut of some supplies.And not a whole hell of a lot of demand.There are ripples that will be felt for a long time through this economy.And some things have expiration dates.At which time they become high dollar stockpiles of garbage.When things resume places better start thinking about things like stockpiles of things the clock is ticking on.The so called experts say this virus could possibly reemerge in the fall and cause another wave.Or even longer.They really don't know.Their dates continue to change.Stamped on product dates don't.
