    I think...

i think Ricky will one day become a name to be reckoned with in auto racing, just as it did in bikes... he is a determined, competitive, smart guy and i think he is taking the learning process seriously... ricky is a great guy and i miss seeing him at our tracks... these people would never put so much into ricky if he wasnt promising. well time will tell... GOOD LUCK RICKY... i will never forget the fun times i had with you and your family and the guys who were your crew at the time......

Put Bubba Stewart in the same equipment and he'd be wrapping up his third or fourth championship by now! LOL!

Bubba "I've got an owie so I can't race for 2-months" Stewart couldn't carry Carmichael's jock strap.

"Carry his jock strap"??? Thats pretty gross! I cant imagine that he would want to do that anyways.

I wouldnt let Rc drive my hand truck. Just cause hes a nice guy doesnt mean he can drive a racecar.

              just curious.

have you ever watched Ricky drive in the last year? i havent but i just cant see anyone putting that much effort and money into someone they dont have faith in. there are plenty of promising drivers... im not arguing because unfortunately once ricky moved on i was unable to keep up with his racing. and i disagree about some things. perseverance and a good attitude contribute to good driving. ive seen horrid drivers become good and great ones get sloppy...

Yes, I have watched a couple of his races this year. He qualifies good but after that, hes no Mike Fritts.

                    Greatest of all times?

                    On a bike......you bet............in a car........mmmmmmmmmm.

Alot of effort and money? Effort maybe but Ricky BROUGHT the money with him, ( big success, big popularity, big sponsors, can't blame the guy for that).

All K.S did was grab an opportunity.can't blame him either. Same with K.H.I.

As far as driving ability all i saw last year was a merciless killing of local late models while he was (learning) to drive.

Will he go somewhere?.....i think so with time.

And in closing i still think it's about money not talent.

There are guys that can out-wheel many of the guys at top levels, but, if they can't bring (corporate name here) with them they haven't a snowballs chance in hell.
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

His car owners put faith in him because he brings a lot of money to the table. He brings a lot of money to the table because of his name.

Talent is not keeping a top 5 car in the top 5.

Talent is taking a 12th place car to the top 5.

He was an excellent motor cross racer, but cars are not motorcycles.

Put him in some junk and if he can impress the heavy hitters then I will change my tune. Until then he is a walking advertisement for Monster Energy Drink.

I just assumed with the title of this thread that Boneman was making his debut in the ARCA series.

                            Appalled I am.......

                            Scandalous.
                            That's what it is.

                            Scandalous.

Can't you people see what an uphill struggle this underprivileged, underfunded and unrecognized young man has had to endure?
All those weekends of having to compete against and finish behind teams that operated on a fraction of the resources he had available to him.
Day after day of grueling interviews about his bold decision to move from 2 wheels to 4 and when (not if) was he going to win his first Sprint Cup Championship.
The daunting task of trying to come up with a logical explanation for advancing far beyond his talent level without winning a single race.
The soul searching and PR coaching he has had to endure while learning to give the best sound bites for why he hasn't enjoyed the same level of success that motocross brought him.

                            This is tough stuff!

And you people would berate him and ridicule him as just another rich kid or talentless celebrity racing out of his trust fund or the wave of his past fame.

                            For shame......shame on you all.

I too will never forget the fun times we had together during his first and only year of racing short rack late models. That time he drove by the spot I was standing in on his way back to his motorhome.......ahhh.
                            Good times.......good times.
He might have even waved at me.....I can't be sure though.

Good Luck Ricky! You keep your head up buddy. Somewhere out there is a checkered flag with your price on it.
                            Oops. I meant name. Sorry.
