John Andretti lost his battle to cancer on Thursday.It has also been announced on Facebook by John Sappriacone (along with a short video posted by the new owners)that the former Desoto Speedway facility has officially been purchased.

Sorry to hesr about the passing of John Andretti, he was a talented guy. Sprints, Midgets, Indy Cars, NASCAR, even won races in a Top Fuel Dragster.
After watching the video from the new owners of DeSoto Speedway, the folks living near the track are in for a real treat.
