This weekend is the Snowball Derby at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola.

I understand that David Rogers is there and strongly considering running the event.

Now that is what I call a helluva Christmas Present!

I wish him only the best and hope he kicks tail while he is at it.

In fact, several of the central florida racers are towing up, and am wishing good luck to them all.

I am up here at the Snowball. It’s my first visit here, it should be an awesome week of racing. David has run multiple test sessions, and he is looking pretty strong.

David did not make it into the show, but he has been given a promoters choice provisional for today’s Snowball Derby. It is currently raining here. Hopefully the rain will stop at some point. The race is scheduled for 2pm.

Last night during the Snowflake race, Justin Bonnett, Neil Bonnett’s grandson, was injured in a crash. He has a badly broken leg and burns. It was the largest, longest fire I have ever seen at a racetrack. The fuel cell was torn out of the car he hit, and the rear axle was broken in half. I’m glad he got out alive.
