  • Dorer and Stickler at Showtime

Fifteen superlates qualified at Showtime Saturday night.Steve Dorer took the winners check in the first twin fifty. An hour rain delay set in at the end of latemodel qualifying.Cody Stickler grabs the second fifty lap feature.Good runs in both fiftys for Dorer,Stickler and Nick Neri.Michael Atwell ran well in the first 50,but was a dnf in the second.Chris Fontaine did vice versa.Chase Lovelady was running fifth in the first feature but pulled off around lap 45 not to start the second.Scott Grossenbacher scored a top five in the second 50 and I think a sixth in the first.Jamie King dropped out early in the first main was a dns for the second.Dodge Carlbert was the Street Stock Winner,Chris Thornton the Super Mini winner and John Anderson took the dash for cash for Open Wheel Modifieds. To say I had an experience afterwards is a slight understatement. The races ended at 11:30.A series of events later I just got home after 8:30 am.On a rollback wrecker.Reminded me of Steve Martin and John Candy.

Sorry about your continued "misfortunes in motoring".

Today's Cup event slated to start @ 2:45. Don't sit too close to the TV...

      old school

it's always an adventure going to the track.Sometimes it's an extremely looong one.Have you ever been around a track so late somebody in the stands shouts out what are you serving for breakfast? Well after Saturday night I can personally guarantee you Showtime Speedway serves absolutely nothing for breakfast.

And a shout out for Yoho

thank you for getting my van to start. But it ran horrible and died at the Speedway station and still had to be towed. The gals who rescued me drive a 2019 Chevy.I was on the phone with them from the time they came off 275 onto Ulmerton. They both knew where the speedway is.They have lived in the Tampa metro area most lives.Their Chevys GPS on the contrary has no idea where Showtime speedway is and was going to make them u turn right back towards 275.You said Saturday when I talked to you that you have to figure out why your crowd was so small Saturday? People's GPS are leading them right away from you.
