Two tracks in Michigan cancel/postpone this weekend due to heat

Kalamazoo Speedway has cancelled their race program for Friday July 19th due to forecasts of heat topping 100 degrees in Southern Michigan over the weekend.Galesburg Speedway in Michigan has postponed their Saturday July 20th racecard until Sunday July 21st when temperatures are forecasted to be in the 80s.Welcome to Florida without making the drive.

Why don't they just cancel for rain, like normal people?

Once one or two cancelled,the list kept getting longer.Now I have seen at least 6-8 tracks from Pennsylvania to Michigan,to Iowa and Indiana (Baer Field)who have cancelled for this weekend because of extreme heat forecast.Which opens up the question to me.Did they need to and should they have?

I know why Galesburg cancelled; they don't sell beer! How can the fans deal with summer without a beer stand?
