I made it out to Showtime for the first time this year. They track seemed racier than I’ve ever seen it. There was plenty of clean side by side racing, and a pretty good amount of passing. Figure 8 racing is not usually my cup of tea, but the 14 of them put on a really fast, competitive race. They stayed in a pretty tight pack, so there was very little playing chicken at the intersection. One guy ran second for most of the feature, then made a beautiful pass about three laps from the end to take the win. The mini late models put on a really good race as well. I think there were 15 of them.
Yoho was entertaining as always. A big shout out to him for continuing to run races every weekend. That seems to be becoming a rarity.
