One of my old haunts,Shadybowl Speedway in DeGraff Ohio has opened their season the last few years with a CRA Street Stock race.(Which is a damn good division and usually show up with 30-40 cars anywhere they race.) This year though the Bowl has replaced the street stocks with the CRA Sportsman division with their Hoosier tires lining up against the Bowl's late models division on their American Racer tires.I don't know who will have the edge in this matchup,but here in Florida with the late model fields dwindling (16 at Showtime last night and 10 at both Auburndale and 4-17 a couple weeks back along with about half that many at New Smyrna the same night)maybe something to think about giving a shot? What's there to be scared of after all? A sportsman car winning?

The Sportsman will be called late models soon enough, per my earlier prediction (guess).
It's hard to outrun a built motor Sportsman with a Crate without a weight and carb break. With everybody on 8" tires and enough lead added to the late models, it could be interesting.
