  • Stephen Nasse counts 10,000 reasons to like Showtime

Twenty six Super Latemodels started Robert Yohos Icebreaker 150 today and Stephen Nasse took home the Lions share of the money after crossing the stripe five car lengths ahead of Dylan Bigley and Michael Atwell.A few Invaders from the frozen north were there but in the end only ten cars survived until the end.The Indiana guys took all the Outlaw figure 8 cash home with Ben Tunney taking home a 10k payday on Saturday and opting to not stick around for the pocket change on Sunday.Another Indiana guy took the win on Sunday with another Indiana racer taking a trip to the hospital after a violent meeting at the X with Chet Senokossof's car.Craig Cuzzone took the win in the street stocks main which only started nine cars. The mini stock and strictly stock features were postponed until next week as a brief passing shower came across the track at the conclusion of the figure 8 feature after a lengthy red flag period for Pinellas Park fire and rescue to transport the injured Indiana driver to an area hospital.(He was alert and responsive when extricated from his car) Note to self NEVER come back home on I-275 through downtown Tampa at 7 pm Sunday or not !!

Two corrections to make here.Nick Neri finished third in the Superlate main and Shawn Senokossof was the driver involved in the figure 8 race with the Wiseman car from Indiana (who was the leader at the time)

Another reason getting rid of live/hot pit stops at The Derby sucks! Never again will I get to see a driver slammed to the ground by his own pit crew.
