Carl Smith passes

Former Columbus Motor Speedway late model track champ and older brother of former ARCA champ Marvin Smith passed away over Thanksgiving weekend.Smith was track champ at CMS in 1973 and went on a tear during the 1972-1974 seasons winning many features in central Ohio and also in Western Indiana.Originally from Toledo Ohio Smith raced on the dirt at Pennsboro West Virginia and was also part of a Buckeye state contingent that regularly completed at Heidelberg Pennsylvania as well as big money races in Florida in the winter months.
