  • Patrick Thomas: 2018 NSS Sportsman Champion!

Please join me in congratulating Patrick Thomas, who brought the #111 home in second place in the feature, and simultaneously clinched his third NSS Championship in 4 years. The #111 will make it's final appearance in the upcoming Governor's Cup sportsman event.

Lots of hard work and late nights went into the effort to stay half a step ahead of the competition, which gets stronger all the time.

Longtime car owner Jim Harris sold his operation late in the year, and once again Thomas will be running the #25 out of his own shop in 2019.

In an unrelated yet related event, the notorious Phil Jacques spookily showed up on the front stretch when they were handing out halloween candy at intermission. No women or children were harmed.

What a great race! The Sportsman put on a show; they drove like there were no mirrors or spotters: sliding around and cutting each other off like open wheeled cars. The only down-side is that I lost the pool...

Congrats to Patrick for another well-deserved championship!

OldSchool! Was good to see you buddy! You sure looked shocked to see me haha. You never know when I might just pop up at the track

The sportsman race was definitely the highlight of the night. The mod race had potential towards the end but just needed a few more laps. Anyone know what fell off Tank Tuckers mod after lap 3? It looked like once whatever it was fell off or broke, he almost had to stop in the center to turn the car and was very free. Disappointed in the PLM car count but I guess it's to be expected with Gov Cup in a couple weeks.

Big congratulations to my good buddy Patrick Thomas on another amazing season. Sad to see the ride with Jim Harris and the #111 come to an end, but looking forward to seeing what 2019 has in store!

Off to the cold north for me for now and back again in a couple months for most of the month of January.
