PRO TRUCKS GIVE IT A GO - AGAIN - SATURDAY NIGHT AT AUBURNDALE SPEEDWAY
After trying twice to run their special "Armed Forces Night" to the disapproval of Mother Nature, the Pro Trucks will try and get another 50-lap race in the books this Saturday night at Auburndale Speedway. The Armed Forces Night event has been rescheduled for November 3rd.
So this week it will be the "June Jam" 50 for the Pro Trucks as DARN Apparel presents Future Farmers of America Night at the speedway. All FFA Students in chapter shirts or with an FFA ID will be admitted free. DARN Apparel will be on hand with their top quality shirts, hats and other "goodies." A portion of all sales go to support the local chapters of the FFA. Also racing will be the Modified Mini Stocks, Q Mini Stocks, Street Stocks, V-8 Bombers and Mini Cup cars.
Pro Truck point leader Cody McDuffie of Bartow will be gunning for his third win of the season but should be facing a host of top challengers including Derek Pugh (who scored his first career Pro Truck win here on April 28th) who is a close second in the point race. Third place points man Jason "Scrappy" Lester is expected to be in action along with the likes of Danny Anderson, Mike Kohut, Big Donnie Burkhalter, Colt Cecil, Tyler Davis, Brennon Pletcher, Kristen Clements, Adam Briggs, Carter Brown, Leroy
Moore, William Kerns, Mark Kemick and quite a few more..
Pit gates open at 3 pm with practice slated from 4-5:45 pm. Grandstand gates open at 5 pm and qualifying for the Pro Trucks is slated for 6:15 pm. Racing begins at 7 pm with 8-lap heat races for the Mini Cups, Q Mini Stocks, V-8 Bombers, Modified Mini Stocks and Street Stocks. Intermission will feature an autograph/photo op session on the front straight with the Pro Truck drivers, weather permitting. Feature racing starts out with a 20-lap contest for the Mini Cups followed by 25 laps races for the Q Mini Stocks, V-8 Bombers, Modified Mini Stocks and the Street Stocks. The evening concludes with the "June Jam" 50 for the Pro Trucks.
Adult admission for this great night of competition and fun is just $15 with seniors 55+ $13. Children ages 5-12 are only $5 and all kids 4 and under get in free. Again, all FFA Students in chapter shirts or with an FFA ID will be admitted free. The family 4-pack is just $32 for two adult and two children’s admissions (a $40 value). Pit passes are $30 per person and all parking is free.
