Open wheel modified legend Maynard Troyer passed away on Thursday at the age of 79.I never got an opportunity to see Troyer race in person but remember reading about him in papers and stock car racing magazine.Originally from Ohio before moving to New York state he was a nephew to Vern Schrock a short track late model ace from Plain City Ohio before relocating to Indiana and cousin to Buddy Schrock who like his dad Vern were both ASA regulars.
