NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (April 18, 2018) – New Smyrna Speedway has made strategic changes to its staff across numerous areas.
Rusty Marcus has been named track manager. Marcus will be overseeing the facility and competition operations.
“We’re very excited to have Rusty back at New Smyrna Speedway,” said Robert Hart, owner of New Smyrna Speedway. “Bringing Rusty onboard and making other additions to our staff will continue to drive the Speedway forward.”
Marcus has helped at New Smyrna Speedway during years past, and was the track promoter at Orlando Speedworld.
“I’m thrilled to be back with the Harts, and looking forward to working with everyone at New Smyrna Speedway,” said Marcus. “This season is going to be filled with excitement.”
Other staff changes include the hiring of Carly Fields during the 2018 World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing as director of marketing. Fields will be managing the Speedway’s marketing and sponsorship sales.
Fields joins New Smyrna Speedway with short track racing in her past. She calls Kingsport Speedway her NASCAR Home Track, and has helped with various duties there over the past eight years.
Long time employee, Holli Hanna, has also taken on new responsibilities. Along with managing food and beverage services at the Speedway, Hanna will be scheduling track rentals and other day-to-day activities, as well.
