Has been awesome! Good car counts in the late model classes and huge NE Mod field, 31 cars started tonight. And they didnt tear many up! Great show for all the nights i have been!

Hated to see Rogers take that hit, it was ferocious. Broke the damn wall pretty bad too. Moore got into his rear coming into 3, he corrected and it shot straight into the wall. Was releived to see him get out. Car was destroyed.

Some big hits so far during speedweeks.

Burton/majeski deal was debatable, but nonetheless, the best quote came from Ty, who said he didnt know what happened but go check out Harrisons Moms twitter, hes sure she will have the truth...lol

And the highlight of the night was a snake loose in the stands. The circus of people scared, people who were snake experts and those who didnt even know was entertaining!

Right on Bubba, last night's show was very good. Three races: plenty of cars and lots of close competition. I completely enjoyed it all.

Alas....no soap in the bathrooms even though there was an attendant. I just don't get it.

Glad to see they have big fields of cars. Over 30 mods is very cool! We are going Wednesday. I will say I don't understand why NSS doesn't accurately update the pre-entry lists. It can discourage people from attending if they only see a few cars listed.

Right with ya Jacko, i went Friday thinking i was going to be disappointed and was really impressed. They tore up a shit ton on FL Mods and Pro Lates, but was a good show.

Good news for them is that the stands have been pretty populated in spite of the small entry lists.

The tour mods reminded me of way back in the day, glad to see it.

Almost forgot, Saturday Gary Balough was on hand signing autographs with his batmobile car. Good to see him out and about. Man that dude pissed away so much talent.

Actually the SLM and PLM counts are way down from the 35-40 that used to be the norm... Just way too expensive to do this type of thing (nine nights) anymore for the return you get... Although the fields are smaller, the quality is very good though... What I don't really get is why, all of a sudden, the Tour Mod count is way up... Recently NASCAR had that "Battle of the Beach" mess and we all thought that would bring in a slew of cars... Well they showed up in force at DIS but most loaded up and went home instead of racing at NSS... Might just be starting on Monday and only running through Friday is helping because the teams will have less cost involved.
Modified and Sportsman counts have been just OK and quite a few Mods have been trashed... I hear there will be quite a few more Sportsman this Friday...
The Sprints were awesome on Saturday as expected... Boneman certainly looked fast... but looks can be deceiving LOL... He did look very good though and got a good finish... Great run by Shane Butler who really had it all together...
Only two (possibly three) races still on my schedule... Volusia Wednesday night for the Late Models and Big Block Mods and Friday at NSS for the Modified Reunion and the Evans Memorial... May go see the Sprints at East Bay on Saturday if they have a good field of cars...

Bubba, I can only imagine what goes thru Gary's mind now about what could have been.

Dave, I remember those car counts, too. At the 1998 World Series, I think we started over 35 cars in the limited late class the first few nights. I am with you on the Tour Mod count. It is weird, and kind of goes against everything else that is going on in stock car racing right now. Glad to see it, though.

              Re: Gary Balough--

Hey, am glad I got to see him race. And things could be worse,
as in Adam Petty's (and many others) unfortunate situation.

And Mario Rossi? Anyone seen that guy lately?

Went to NSS last night with some friends & family, had a great time. Great car counts & racing, fast paced show, good crowd, and cold beer. The bathroom smelled better than the one at the place that we stopped at for dinner on the way home.
