OS... Something that tracks everywhere could really benefit from is making their themselves a multi-use facility, no-matter what that may entail. If it's bringing in money to the track and it's truly a profitable venture, then why not? It can really only stand to benefit everyone.

Drifting is one of the simplest things to make money on from what I see. I dabbled with it a little for fun, but long before it got to where it is now. Drift events, autocross events, car shows, carnivals etc. All of this could be used to generate additional money for these tracks and really help boost them up.

Another side to that is if you are bringing people into the gate for one event, some of them may consider coming back for different events.

You can't be narrow minded anymore. These tracks around the country (for the most part) can't survive successfully long term on oval track racing alone unless the owners pockets are DEEP. If they are a multipurpose facility, they stand a much much stronger possibility of outlasting development and progress as well as bankruptcy and foreclosure.

I agree with the multi use part though and have said the same for a number of years now.I just can't see how any business can survive on 4 or 5 days of income per month.

Yes, I would like more value, please.

Citrus has a high energy show with lots of things happening to keep the fans pumped up. And more power to them.

I would prefer high car counts, please.

Of course, I am only one ticket.

                      ok I'm game

But how about instead of one or two drift cars at a time let's line up about ten and actually have them race?

Just had one of the best experiences at a sports event ever. My daughter Kathryn won a pair of tickets to the Lightning game. We sat right at center ice between the benches. They only offer these tickets 3 or 4 times a year, all the staff kept telling us how awesome the seats were.

                          They were the BEST!!

We were treated like royalty by the staff and had the time of our lives. We go to 5 or 6 games a year. The Lightning played bad and lost, who cares, we were having so much fun we almost didn't notice.

The down time (TV commercials) is always entertaining. The Zamboni rides look like fun. The HONORING of local hero's, Military and Local Law Inforcement is extraordinary and receive a standing ovation by the entire arena.

Short track racing has all the same elements that hockey does. A smart promoter would start going to hockey games and learn something, those people have their act together. A dumb promoter will stay at home and think that racing how it was 20 or 30 years ago is the way of the future.

Hockey and Racing. Both have speed.
Hockey and Racing. Both have danger.
Hockey and Racing. Both have lots of short bursts of down time.

People that like racing would like Hockey. The SPEED the EXCITEMENT the DANGER and UNKNOWN.

Only seen a couple fights down there when I was frequenting Citrus, Showtime and OSW regularly. Some of the fights I have seen here though... Straight up thug style. Screw fists, just grab a jack handle or a 2x4! lol
