Well, the status quo was not working, so maybe this is a step toward rebuilding.
I certainly don’t want to lose that track.

John Sarppricone has been around racing and promoting for some time & has indicated that he is aware of the challenges of running a track.
So, we will look forward to seeing who he puts in place to run the track.
It's a shame that the place is so far from Titusville, but let's see...Bithlo isn't (Boneworld?)!Last edited by OldSchool+; 12-09-2017, 09:00 PM.

Wouldn't that be cool? Lets see...all I need is a big pile of money and a way to keep THIS marriage from falling apart because of racing. Hmmm, I'll work on it.

Lessee...Robert "lets" Danielle run the sangria stand...
Maybe you could put the missus in charge of lighting, or perhaps drainage.
And I know just the guy to run the drifting portion of the evening.
And that is a big pile of disposable money. That is the tough part.
I still cannot understand why Ozzy doesn't rent the place out cheap. Some income is better than no income.
Meanwhile, back to Desoto...

It's a real shame that a track like Desoto hasn't been successful in keeping the gates open over the past 10 years or so. It takes a lot of time, money, and a very determined owner and staff to keep a track going. There is another possible ownership group on the horizon, i sure hope they can get the place up and running soon.Renegade Racing Fuels of Florida/Palmdale Oil Company

fake news
Sappricone does not own the track. He "holds the note", which means he is the bank that lent the money to Denny to buy the track, In simple words. which is entirely different. Foreclosure on the track could take 3 mounts to 3 years. Then he would own it again!Originally posted by Circledude View PostSarppricone still owns the track and is leased to a new tenant for 2018 I believe, Ronnie Bacelo will be the race director
