Yes Thanks.....and Thanks to ALL the drivers who have supported the series this season. It has been a pleasure for both Scott and myself to be involved with this series and to work with all the drivers and their teams and family who support them. Yes, we have had our issues to battle, but despite all that this series continues to be a great one. As always we know that it IS the DRIVERS who make the series what it is. We have three more dates on the schedule that we are looking forward to. Next stop Auburndale.
When is the Auburndale event? The SSS racing there might just be a good reason to go there again. It's probably been 10 years since I've been there.
Question for Rick Williamson, since he seems very familiar both with the Tour, and the locals.... Do you think many of the locals will support this show? Are the cars compatible with the Touring cars? I'm thinking the rules are pretty close, and it could have a decent turnout of cars. Also, I think this series would put on a good show on a tight 1/4 mile.
Hi Jerry, it's on Sept. 27th. Hope you can make it down. I just heard about it coming the Auburndale this week. So I don't have a real feel for how many will join the race. They run about 10 Sportsmen cars each week. So there could be as many as 20 cars total counting those that normally run the Series. I just don't know for sure. By the way I know that Scott IS working hard to turn it around. But there were issues that started even the first year. So he is having to fix those things also. And lets face it $4.00 gas and 2 to 4 hour trips ONE WAY don't help. I hope for the biggest car count of the year for the Series. Lets face it, the track and the Series could both use a big night.
