Nine-time WKA National Shifter Kart Champion, and former Hooters Pro Cup Driver Chad Dokken of Clearwater showed the way last night at the high-banked 3/8 mile paved oval of Desoto Super Speedway, in Bradenton, Florida, claiming his first Desoto Champ Kart Series victory of 2008, in his Competition Karting Inc (CKI) sponsored Laser Champ Kart!
Late model driver Alan McKinney of Tampa was second, followed by Rance Williams of Lithia in third. Young Mitchell Stevens of Riverview claimed his best series finish of fourth, followed by Ron Letourneau of Stuart in fifth! Congrats to all of the top five finishers for their great runs!
In addition to his cash winnings and trophy, Chad also collected a free clutch rebuild from GECKER Motorsports at http://www.Geckermotorsports.com!
The series would also like to thank John, Fabienne, Cindy and Todd for making the race last night at Desoto Super Speedway enjoyable for all!
