    the LAP belts TO THE FRAME and the shoulder belts to the CAGE.


    eh, i'd prefer to have both sets of belts attached to the cage.

    i was in a car that had the cage securely welded to the frame ... and i managed to knock the entire cage a foot out the drivers door. being the last structural member still attaching the cage to the frame doesn't sound like a profession with a high survivability rate.
