  • Cody McDuffie bags shortened Pro Truck Invitational at 4-17

Cody McDuffie got credited with the win with the scoreboard reading lap 38 at 4-17 Speedway tonight. The race had already been red flagged when the decision was made to make it an official race. The red flag was thrown after a caution was brought out by a spin by the #7 of Jason Lester. On the ensuing caution lap Lester raced around the track until he caught up to the #28 truck of TJ Duke and banging fenders with him going through turn one while still under caution.Duke retaliated by forcing Lester's truck into the backstretch wall with both being dq'd.While both trucks were being removed from the speedway it was announced over the pa system that Charlotte County EMS was being summoned to the speedway for a medical issue involving a driver and the red flag would be in effect until the squad responded. After a few minutes and with eleven pm quickly closing in and three features still remaining,it was announced that the race was official and Cody McDuffie was declared the winner.Cory Bigley was second in the twenty three truck field.Donnie Ollie Jr.won the Pro late feature and Carl Thompson won the V8 bomber feature. McDuffie said in the post race interview that it was too bad it was shortened but that it didn't matter it was over and he was out front.Lol,no I bet it didn't matter a bit to him.

Bobby, there were 9 Pro Lates/limited/sporstman, that 09 was a tricked out sportsman on 10in tires and qualified at a 15.24 unbelieveable! 5 cars were in the 15s and the rest in the 16s, no invert so 09 ran away with it

Citrus had 22 Sportsman/Pro Lates for the Wheelman Series race.
That's Probably one of the reasons why there was only 9 cars.

Ok a little more of what got left out

Seventeen if I remember correctly started the V8 Bomber feature won by Carl Thompson Jr. John Pummel Jr. was the winner in the mini heat and feature. He was declared the winner of the main after a fast closing Christopher Milthaler in his #01 got under Pummel coming out of turn four and sent him spinning. The shoving match in the Pro Truck main didn't end there. When both trucks stopped Lester jumped out of his truck and ran to the passenger side window of TJ Dukes truck and basically dove in after him.Even from the front straight it looked like he was a pretty good ways in there exchanging family names. In the street stock feature only seven cars had qualified but come feature time Todd Brown rolled out in his immaculate white #23 Camaro and tagged onto the end of the field as a non qualifier. About halfway into the feature a black #11 car pops out of the pit gate and proceeds to spin out right in front of the leaders in turn four. I have no clue who was in that car and it hadn't qualified or been on track at the start of the feature. Everybody survived but I'm pretty sure only the mini stock and v8 Bomber feature went the scheduled distance.

            Late Model Race

Actually, the 09 pulled a 2 pill, (I was in tech when he pulled it), so he started on the outside of the front row instead of the inside.
