Race your street ride win a racecar

A track up in Ohio I used to visit from time to time Shady Bowl Speedway in Degraff Ohio has an interesting deal going on this year.Race in their spectator races (or fan participation races if you prefer that moniker) win the point series they are holding for it and at the end of the season win a race ready compact division car.I'm just curious how many takers they will get to risk their ( or their wives) grocery getter on that deal.

What a clever idea! That is a winner many different ways.

Hopefully the season-long competition for the racecar will increase the participation level, and give the fans another storyline to be interested in. At the end of the year, you have a dedicated racer in a new racecar that hopefully is specific to that track, and has a hard time towing elsewhere.
