It's our new Tiki garden built last year by the Ray family as they took over promoting at Citrus County Speedway.

It is not a complete bar as we serve only ice cold beer.

The photo is a view from the Tiki Garden.

That's a great space, and it held a nice crowd last night.

Also, I suspect someone forgot to get the Easter egg hunt going during intermission. The flow of events last night felt a good bit disjointed. Still, for $8, there was a lot to like.

RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

Thank you, Joe, for your attendance at Saturday's race program at Citrus County Speedway. Glad you enjoyed watching the races from our new Tiki Garden located in turn four. It seems many of our fans share your sentiment.

No, we did not forget the Easter Egg Hunt. It was not our intention to hold the event during our intermission break which is after qualifying heats are finished. We stayed pretty much to our predetermined night's schedule.

It has been our experience that many of our fans get to the track later on in the evening, say around 7 p.m., seemingly more interested in seeing the feature races than they are the qualifying heats. Realizing this we figured the best time for the Easter Egg Hunt, so as to realize the most number of kids to be present, would be after the the first feature event and that is exactly when we did it.

It has been the goal of the Ray family to provide an entertainment night out that is family affordable. That is why the general admission price is only $8 with children six and younger always free. It is the lowest price of any speedway in the state of Florida and equally more affordable than many other entertainment options.

I sure am, Jim. I'm up in Jacksonville, but my folks are still down in Ocala.

The new Citrus County Speedway has included a lot of new ideas for the fans and the racers. The Tiki Garden is one of those new ideas, and it's a great place to watch the racing.
