  • Billy Carlbert wins $3500 at Citrus

Citrus County Speedway has another terrific idea. This past Saturday night, they put all the names of drivers who have finished in the top 5 into a hat and drew out one name.... Billy Carlbert. His prize? $3500 in cash. That's the way to treat the racers.
Lowest grandstand prices, best chicken tenders, and giving back to the racers who support the track! With promotions like that, it's going to be a very good racing season at the new Citrus County Speedway. The Place to Race.

The winner of the $3,500 was not Billy Carlbert, Jr, but instead his son, Dodge, who won the season opener mini stock feature never to return for the remainder of the special preseason series. The drawing did not just include the names of drivers who finished in the top 5 this past Saturday night but was a collection of names of participants from each week of the series. The more weeks you raced the more entries you got. The $3500 was an added bonus as an incentive for drivers to participate in the five week series. It was to be paid out the last night of the series which happened to be this past Saturday night.

It's ironic that Dodge got a far better payout from Citrus County Speedway for not running with us than he got at the track he actually raced at this past Saturday.

Congratulations Dodge and spend the money wisely.

Thanks for clearing that up John. Congratulations to Dodge Carlbert. And thanks to Citrus County Speedway for giving back to the racers. And they paid the money to a racer who doesn't always race at Citrus. That's a classy thing to do.
One more reason among many to race at the new Citrus County Speedway.
