Well, it's the 12 Hours of Sebring today and thought these two photos would be of interest... The first is the new Ford GT of Ford-Chip Ganassi Racing that will compete in the GT LeMans class with Dirk Mueller, Joey Hand and Sebastien Bourdais driving... The second is of the Ford Mk IV driven to victory by Bruce McLaren and Mario Andretti in the 1967 race, 50 years ago... I still think the "Prototype" cars of the 60's-70's are much better looking than the cars being raced today...
45 cars start today, 58 started 50 years ago and featured everything from the prototype cars to GT racers to OSCA's, MGB's, Triumphs, Renault Alpines and Jaguar XKE's - fun and interesting racing back then...
By the way, the great Orlando Sentinel newspaper had absolutely nothing about the race today... not a quick mention or the race line-up... nothing at all - so sad...
