You have the same situation this coming Saturday with mods on the schedule at Desoto and 4-17.One track will more than likely come out on the short end as far as car count goes.Right now I have a pretty good idea which one that is.End result is the fans lose by seeing a small field of cars and the racer loses by being held to a minimum car count before a certain level of payout kicks in.

Citrus County Speedway is one track that pays the advertised purse regardless of car count. That's a great policy, but i also understand why other tracks can't or won't.
For now, the fans are probably going to see smaller fields in every class because there's more tracks running shows. But as the dust settles, i really think you'll see each track develop more of it's own fields in most classes.

I understand the can't. There is no excuse for the won't.There are usually a group of about a half dozen guys that will run one track only. And those classes tend to never have more than a dozen cars tops any weekend. What are the reasons when you have only one area track running a class and still you can't even get a dozen cars in that division?

                WHoa

Hold on now gentlemen. I simply said I was disappointed in the car count. And I should have said in my classes car count.

We had 12 cars............Yoho decided to run us the entire 50 and paid the full purse. 1200 to win

                900 to second
                650 to third
and I got 600 for fourth.

I can remember a few short years ago ( 2011 and 2012 ) that we got 600 for a win at Citrus. YOHO set the bar for paying us again.

Yoho's schedule has been out and unfortunately the series at 417 seems to fall on his Mod schedule.

With the departure of Desoto from the series one would think their is opportunity to reschedule some events.

If Desoto was thinking they would go back to the hoosier slick and schedule some good mod races when yoho wasn't running or try and get the guys to do two in one night...........Gotta have the same tires though.
