  • NSS Entry Lists?

Looking forward to the upcoming racing
at NSS. Any idea who will be racing in Orange Blossom or World Series races?

  • #2
They don't post on this board anymore....or anywhere really for that matter. I don't go very often anymore because I seldom know when the races are or who is on the entry list.

Speed51 has a report on some early entries.

NSS doesn't post here anymore because of all the bashing after just posting the results within an hour of the race night finish. All on Facebook now..

RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

There is seldom any info posted on their Facebook either and I don't use it anyway. There's more bashing on their Facebook then there ever was on here if you look at their Facebook reviews (we at least offered constructive criticism).

I don't think NSS cares much about their fans since they put zero effort in advertising or connecting with the fans. I can take a hint and don't go much anymore.

Also, that article you linked to on Speed51 says that they released the current entry list yesterday for the world series on their page but it's nowhere to be found. The article only lists 3 or 4 drivers that were entered. I'm not going to travel around the world to find out who is coming, I just won't go.

Aight, we gots it. Let's review:

            >NSS decided not to post here anymore due to perceived negative press. Their prerogative.

            >You have decided not to attend NSS events anymore due to their lack of posting on Karnac. Your prerogative, and I respect that.

But it is a racetrack, and it is a rock, and will probably be here after I am gone.

I do not understand the objective here. It certainly will not persuade NSS to begin posting here again.

I am hoping it is not intended to convince others not to attend.

There are other venues. If you prefer attend their events and consider cheer-leading their efforts.

            Food fer thought.

I can tell you they do care about the fans! Just because they choose not to cater to every single person’s suggestion does not mean they do not care. They (management, sponsors, ect…) put in a lot of work last season to make the races better and it showed at the end of the year. I will say this a little positivity goes a long way, especially with management and people that work there. Bashing will get you nowhere.

One thing I don’t understand is how do you not know when the races are? a detailed schedule of every event is posted on their website well in advance and coming races are posted on facebook too. Plus the 2017 Schedule was posted a long time ago! If you can put Karnac.com in your browser, you can put newsmyrnaspeedway.org in there too. With that said I can assure you there will be plenty of race cars for the world series in all divisions and each night is going to be great. I've heard there could be 20+ tour mods there, so don’t worry.

If you come to the track and you're not having a good time feel free to come to the tower and tell me. I'll do my best to make the show fun no matter what’s going. I appreciate those who do support the track and hope the naysayers come back around. We are a family and a little positive support through good times and bad will go a long way in this sport! See you all at the Orange Blossom and World Series!

This summary is in no way accurate of what I posted.

The OP is asking for an entry list. An entry list doesn't exist. It's not posted here, on Facebook, or on the NSS website (despite claims from Speed51).

The Speed51 article mentions a couple of drivers that have entered so far but does not provide the full list.

There is also a 100 lap late model event coming up with no mention of an entry list or who might be attending.

This proves that zero effort is put in to keep fans informed and help increase their attendance. I'm in Orlando which is the closest and most densely populated city to New Smyrna Speedway. There is zero advertising of these events and no one here even knows they are taking place.

Hey Ryan, check out my above post. I'm not bashing NSS or saying that the schedule isn't posted.

Also, there have barely been 10 tour mods there the past few years so if I see 20+ I'll personally come to the booth and hand you a twenty dollar bill.

Perhaps I was unclear, I will try again.

Regardless, hope you have a good time at the races somewhere.

No objective bud, just no information for the races @NSS available anywhere. At least make an effort to advertise on the internet, local businesses, gyms, etc. Zero effort is made.

I'm the customer I'm not the one who's supposed to put the effort in to track all the information down.

I've seen you question why race tracks are not more successful and fan bases are dwindling. This is why....

                          Perhaps.

Typically I am the guy that says, "Let's be thankful that we are still living in the age of short track racing".

Like Big Bill and Bill Jr (Brian, not so much), NSS has their own way of doing things, and I accept that.

It's all good. I say that a lot, too.
