The costs associated with testing/practice days has been killing asphalt racing for years.
Teams that can't afford 2, sometimes 3 days at the track, don't bother to show up at all on race day itself.

Good move to save teams a lot of $$$

Practice was never mandatory to be at, so teams still had the option to just show up on race day and race. If there was some teams that wanted to show up to practice and spend the extra money for tires, fuel and pit passes how did this affect everyone else?

The only way I see it being an affect is for the teams that do want to work on their cars or setups are being penalized. I am sure the series will be great but I just do not understand the no practice rule.

Same reason i stopped going to local asphalt tracks up here. Guys renting track so they can run 500 practice laps on Thursday and Friday to sit on the pole Saturday and lead every lap of the 35 lap race. They qualify and start the cars straight up (no passing, no racing), stupid nascar shiznit.

Good choice on practice limitation and one day show. i would not show up until race day on multi day shows.
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

Teams that have full time regular jobs that cant practice 2-3 prior to a race, would be a huge disadvantage come race time. This is a great new rule, and should be used at every level of racing. Just disappointed that the first race will have 2 days of testing/practice. Thurs and Sat, at adale.

now if only they would roll the dice for the number of rows inverted, not for starting spot.Roll 6-7-8-9-10-11 rows, lets have a real race again, make them pass instead of just lead.

The races at Auburndale have always inverted part of the field, they don't start straight up. 2017 should be a great year in the center of Fl this year.

To tell you the truth, With the exception of the 200 lap gov cup, and the 300 lap snowball derby, I have never seen an asphalt late model race start straight up, as long as I have been going, since 1972. Not sure where "up here" means, but I cant imagine any track starting a 35 lap race straight up??

Hickory is my local track. Otherwise pick an nc track that is asphalt and NASCAR sanctioned.
